Africa’s aviation giant, Ethiopian Airlines has launched a thrice weekly service -Monday, Wednesday and Saturday- to Maun, Botswana as of June 10, 2024.
Maun, the tourism capital of Botswana, has become Ethiopian’s second destination in the country after Gaborone, which it has served since 2016.
At the inaugural ceremony, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tasew, said,
“The addition of Maun into our African connectivity enables travellers from Maun to enjoy facilitated connectivity to Ethiopian Airlines’ vast global network that exceeds 135 destinations.”
He noted that the commencement of the new flight to the city strengthens the tourism, trade and overall socio-economic ties between Botswana and Ethiopian global destinations.
Ethiopian Airlines enjoys the largest network, flying to more than 60 destinations across the continent. The Airline has managed to establish a convenient intra- Africa and global connections via its main hub in Addis Ababa.
Botswana’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Tebelelo Alfred Boang and the airlines’ management team attended the launch ceremony.
