Botswana proudly celebrates the Okavango Delta being voted the Best Destination for a Sustainable Safari at the prestigious TRAVELBOOK Awards 2025 held in Berlin, Germany on the 23rd September 2025.
This recognition is not only a triumph for the Delta as one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders, but also a testament to Botswana’s enduring commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism. It reinforces our country’s position as a leading global destination where travellers can experience pristine wilderness, thriving wildlife, and the deep cultural heritage of our people.
For tourism, this award strengthens Botswana’s brand as a responsible and world-class safari destination, opening doors to greater visibility in the European market and beyond, while affirming the work of all Batswana who safeguard our natural heritage.
The award was received on behalf of the Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO), by the Chargé d’ Affaires at the Embassy of Botswana in Berlin, Mercy Segopodiso Matlho.
