Minister of International Relations Dr Phenyo Butale has met with the president of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries HE Mr Yang Wanming.
During the meeting, Minister Butale called for more twinning arrangements between Chinese and Botswana cities to allow Botswana to learn from China’s impressive developmental trajectory from one the poorest countries to a highly industrialised global power house.
The Minister further asked for Botswana to be included in China’s list of native English speaking countries in order to open opportunities for Botswana English teachers to secure jobs in China.
