The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) Presidents’ Meeting on 10-11 June in New York, will feature an illustrious list of speakers, led by Botswana President Duma Boko and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and including Angolan Minister of Mineral Resources, Petroleum, and Gas Diamantino Azevedo and Botswana Minister of Minerals and Energy Bogolo Kenewendo.
The meeting, which is dedicated to “Tariffs and Supporting Natural Diamonds”, will be hosted by the Diamond Dealers Club of New York, led by President Elliot Krisched. Addressing the meeting will also be leading figures in the diamond industry including De Beers EVP Paul Rowley, Kimberley Process Chairman Ahmed Bin Sulayem, WDC President Feriel Zerouki, JA President David Bonaparte, JVC President Sara Yood, CIBJO President Gaetano Cavalieri, IDMA President Ronnie Vanderlinden, IGI’s Tiffany Stevens and GIA’s Tom Moses, among others.
The annual Presidents’ Meeting is an important international event, convening senior representatives of the 27 member bourses and major players from throughout the diamond pipeline. It will explore the most pressing issues facing the world diamond industry in expert panels and discussions.
WFDB President Yoram Dvash said,
“The diamond industry is facing many challenges today. We are bringing together the top decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry to share their views and to formulate policy for the industry going forward.
It is clear that this meeting will be one of the most important events of the diamond industry this year.”
