Air Botswana officially kicked off its Durban to Gaborone route on 1 December, after it was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. After a two-month-long delay, Air Botswana finally launched its Durban-Gaborone flights on Sunday, 1 December.
According to reports, the route had been postponed indefinitely due to a delay in the delivery of the aircraft intended for the flights, along with the process of adding this new aircraft to the airline’s Air Operator Certificate. The Durban-Gaborone leg, as part of Air Botswana’s Gaborone-Windhoek-Durban service, was originally scheduled to begin on 1 October.
Flight schedule
Flights take off on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays according to the following schedule:
- On Wednesdays, flights depart Durban at 09:45 and arrives in Gaborone at 11:15. On both Fridays and Sundays, the flight departs Durban at 13:55 and arrives in Gaborone at 15:25.
- On Wednesdays, the return flight then departs Gaborone at 07:30 and arrives in Durban at 09:00. On both Fridays and Sundays, the flight departs Gaborone at 11:40 and arrives in Durban at 13:10.
