A key focus in the coming year is to drill more production wells for the 10MW project, the company said
Tlou Energy Ltd (AIM:TLOU, ASX:TOU, BSE:TLOU) has said work on a new purpose-built operations facility for the initial 10MW development at its Lesedi gas field in Botswana is progressing with completion expected this quarter.
Gas is currently being produced at the Lesedi 4 pod, Tlou said, noting that a key focus in the coming year is to drill more production wells for the 10MW project.
Methane production of approximately 220-250 mcfd (thousand cubic feet per day) is expected to be required for 1MW of power generation.
Drilling on the next production pod, Lesedi 6, is also expected to commence during the first quarter of 2023, while completion of the power line from Lesedi to the Botswana grid is expected to be finished by mid-2023.
Tlou said its cash at the end of December 2022 was A$6.1mln (£3.5mln).
