Moses Lebitla, Reece Matthews and Tamia Game Wright presented with new Canon camera kit as part of Pangolin’s investment in young Botswana talent.
Pangolin Photo Safaris recently announced the promotion of Moses Lebitla, Reece Matthews and Tamia Game Wright to full-time Photo Host positions. Based at the Pangolin Chobe Hotel, the trio will accompany guests staying at the hotel and aboard the Pangolin Voyager houseboat, sharing their photographic knowledge on a variety of game drives and river cruises along the Chobe River, he company announced in a press statement.
To mark the occasion, each of the three hosts was presented with a new Canon EOS R6 Mark II camera body and Canon RF 100–500mm f/4.5–7.1L IS USM lens – essential tools of the trade for their new roles, and similar to the high-end equipment that many international guests bring on safari.
The promotions form part of Pangolin Photo Safaris’ ongoing commitment to identifying, training and developing young Botswana talent for long-term careers in wildlife photography and photographic guiding — turning a passion for the bush into a professional pathway for the next generation of Batswana storytellers. The company says as they grow into the role, Moses, Reece and Tamia will also have the opportunity to progress to hosting guests on Pangolin’s international photographic expeditions, such as the Great Migration in Kenya.

Who are Pangolin’s rising stars?
Reece Matthews (left)
Born and raised in Gaborone, with childhood ties to Chobe and Maun, Reece spent five years living in Canada before returning home to pursue a career in the bush. A three-month internship with Pangolin introduced him to every side of the tourism industry and sparked the passion for wildlife photography that has now become his career.
Moses Lebitla (centre)
Originally from Botswana, Moses returned home after early years in Zimbabwe to complete his education and study Graphic Design, before spending nearly 15 years as a safari guide. It was while working at &Beyond Chobe Under Canvas, alongside Pangolin Photo Hosts, that he discovered a passion for photography — one he has since turned into a career as a Pangolin Photo Host.
Tamia Game Wright (right)
Tamia was born in Gaborone and spent part of her childhood in Francistown, with a lifelong love of storytelling that led her to study Broadcasting and Journalism. A month spent in Kasane through the Botswana Ignite programme, producing a wildlife documentary, deepened her connection to the area and set her on the path to Pangolin, where she now combines photography, storytelling and conservation as a Photo Host.
