It is sad to see how Masisi is reversing Botswana’s progress for profit. Ian Khama found innovative ways to protect Botswana’s natural heritage, supporting the rangers that protected the wildlife and the amazing habitat Botswana is renowned for and in the process turned Botswana into one of the leading countries in Africa. I enjoyed traveling to Botswana knowing the wildlife was being looked after. Now Masisi and his ilk are proposing a white paper that should be known as a Blood Law that will entail killing elephants. Masisi has disempowered the rangers risking their lives to protect wildlife and the forests, I am assuming because he has been bought off by the trophy hunting and corrupt syndicates. Shame on Masisi for taking on a profits-over-life mindset. I will NOT be coming back to Botswana until Botswana once again promises to protect it’s ecosystems.
