Tlou Energy prepares to drill first well for Botswana project

Tlou Energy says it expects to start drilling its first well for the development of up to 100MW of coal bed methane power plants in Botswana in September. The company said the equipment was arriving onsite ahead of drilling of lateral and vertical pilot production wells.

‘A key objective of the program is to achieve enhanced gas flow rates in the area proposed for initial project development,’ Tlou said.

‘In addition, and if successful, the work program could further de-risk the project and add to the Company’s independently certified gas reserves at the Lesedi CBM project.’
