A 4.8 magnitude earthquake reportedly rocked the Sojwe area early Saturday morning at around 4:37 AM. While there was moderate shaking experienced in Gaborone, we remained dead to the world, blissfully unaware of the earth moving. Unlike the one that rocked Botswana earlier this year, this one seems to have gone without incident.
Earthquake distance from populated centres was recorded as below
Botlhapatlou – 56.3km NNE
Molepolole – 95.8km NN
Mochudi – 103.2km NNW
Mogoditshane – 118.0km N
Gaborone – 121.6km N
